Examples of scientific applications of XFEL radiation are given in the Tesla TDR and various notes and FEL reports. In addition, presentations at dedicated work shops address scientific topics of interest. Copies of these presentations are available from the pages below.

Working Group on Scientific and Technical Issues (STI)

The working group on Scientific and Technical Issues (STI) is a sub-group of the XFEL Steering Committee.
The main task of the STI working group is to reach consensus on the scientific goals and the overall layout of the facility which will form a part of the Memorandum of Understanding to be signed by the partner countries in 2005.
An interim report was issued by the STI group on Jan 11, 2005 (see following link).
