Technical Coordination Team will carry out the general rack coordination and administration, utilizing KDS (Kabel Dokumentation System) and the IDEAS / JT based 3D master models.

Detailed information about KDS can be found at the following web page.

All questions concerning KDS administration, training courses and support should be directed to kds-support@desy.de

RACKS INVENTORY

Version 6.12 is current version of document summarizing status of Rack planing (released on 12.04.2012).

This overview serves as intermediate step to the KDS (Kabel Dokumentation System) and allows us to perform rack administration until KDS will be fully implemented within the frame of XFEL

RACK REQUIREMENTS AND DESIGN

XTL Tunnel Racks Specifications are summarised in the following document
Schroff: cooling issue

Two electronics rack prototypes were ordered. One of them from Schroff. Different aspects of electronics cooling were discussed during the meeting with representatives of firma Schroff. The presentation devoted to the cooling issue can be found here
XTL Bodenplatten

Please find detailed information about floor slabs used in XTL tunnel on the following page

RADIATION SHIELDING ISSUE

Actual information about the status of electronics rack shielding issue is summarised in the following document: D*2603891

and also could be found here( Attention! This page is only intern available and represents a woking notes (not oficially released!) devoted to the above mentioned subject.)

Please contact Markus Hoffmann or E. Negodin for the further elucidations.
Radiation Shielding for Electronic Devices Operating in XFEL Environment

Presentation given at XFEL Project Meeting", 21 October 2009
Summary of FLASH/XFEL scaling factor discussion (26.06.2009)

Consolidating the scaling factor between the radiation levels measured at FLASH and those assumed for XFEL is highly important for the shielding layout. Therefore 3 basic statements were considered during discussion...
